Choosing a tiny home builder may be the most important decision you will make in your tiny home journey.

Should you choose someone who is local, or someone across the country? A new builder or an established one? What questions should you ask?

Over the years, we’ve seen brand new builders turn out to be extremely trustworthy and also established builders go under. There has even be downright fraud. Unfortunately, without a regulating body in place, it can be up to the customer to make these calls.

Too important not to share – this talk was part of the Virtual Tiny Home Show this past weekend. Jen from Teacup Tiny Homes is someone we can count on to tell it like it is. She goes over what it really means to “do our due diligence”, red flags to watch out for and beige flags to make note of. She also gives you a breakdown of questions to ask and conversations to have with your builder.

If you’re interested in the other 12 talks of the conference, you can still purchase the recordings here.
